Accuracy can be greatly improved in the diagnosis of pathologic lesion - its size and location - with 3D model, reconstructed from angiographic images of CT/MR.

     Soft tissue modeling


The soft tissue of pathological lesion can be separately visualized from the normal tissues, and their spatial relationship can be directly identified. Also, the size of lesion can be measured quantitatively by the volume measurement function of V-worksTM

Squamous cell carcinoma in mandible:
The 3D image of pathologic lesion and mandible, which is
separately reconstructed from MR, and this can helps localize the
lesion and surrounding structures.


     Surgical simulation of replantation


V-worksTM can reconstruct the images from CT(as presented below), which shows severe dental caries at the 2nd molar of left mandible and a periodontal problem due to horizontally impacted 3rd molar. As above, V-worksTM provides surgical simulation in 3D environments.
