SPECIFICATIONS

CMP Surgical Scrub Sinks are constructed of type 304 stainless steel with No. 4 finish.  all corners are welded, and all welds are ground and polished to match No. 4 finish. Hands free water control is accomplished either by pressing a front panel with the knee or by an electronic infrared sensor (see various models & options).

The sink is constructed of No. 16 gauge (I.5 mm) stainless steel with horizontal and vertical corners coved to  1/4"  (6 mm) radius. The underside of the sink is coated with sound deadening material. The sink is designed to eliminate backsplash.  Each station is equipped with a 2" (51mm) I.P.S. stainless steel drain, an antisplash spray arm, and (on 2, 3, & 4 bay models) a removable Plexiglas partition to isolate each bay.

The outer sink enclosure is made of No. 18 gauge (I2 mm) stainless steel and has easy to remove hinged stainless panels on the front for access to plumbing and controls.

CONTROLS

CMP scrub sinks  all have a thermal, non-electric (no shock) adjustable hot and cold water mixing valve with pressure balancing control for maintaining constant water temperature. The mixing valve is adjustable by the user via a hand control which is on the top of the sink on all models other than the standard model. Preset high limit stops in the valve prevent water flow in excess of 115 deg. F.

Each bay has its own waterflow control. On the Standard and AS ("Manual") models, the water is turned on and off using the knee-control panel. On the Automatic model the water is turned on for a set time by pressing an electronic touch pad at the top of the sink. The  Electronic control model activates the water flow automatically when the user's hands are placed under the spout.

INSTALLATION

Sinks are supported by two or more chair carriers,  supplied by others (optionally available from CMP). Alternatively, a stainless steel pedestal base may be ordered for supporting the sink from the floor.

Service connections required are a 3/4" (19 mm) I.P.S. hot water and a 3/4" (19 mm) I.P.S. cold water feed and a 2" (51 mm) I.P.S. waste for each bay.
